Product Engineer

SiGe is looking for a Product Engineer to contribute to the outstanding success and growth we have enjoyed. You will be a key member of the Operations team with responsibilities in Product Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Based in Ottawa, the successful individual will have the following key responsibilities:
- NPI Technical Support –speed-up design cycles by applying in-depth product knowledge to issues arising in manufacturing
- Product Qualification – works with SiGe’s vendors to perform package qualification. Publishes plans and final qualification reports
- Yield Improvements / Sustaining Engineering – uses product knowledge to constantly maximize Yield during the Production phase and supports Production Engineers on an as needed basis.
Experience Required
- Knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) Silicon and GaAs products such as PA’s, LNA’s, Mixers, RF Switches and PLL’s
- Knowledge or experience in wafer processing (Si, SiGe and GaAs)
- University Degree with 5-10 years semiconductor Product or Applications Engineering experience
- Great analytical skills – experience reviewing test data and pulling proper conclusions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Exceptional team and influence skills to interface with, subcontractors and other cross-functional teams
- Very well organized and can coordinate multiple projects and products at the same time
- Must be an aggressive self-starter and can work independently to meet objectives and goals
- Well honed skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel a requirement.
Education
- A university degree or equivalent experience
