SiGe and WPG to showcase solutions that address wireless capabilities convergence in mobile devices
February, 2008—Shenzhen and Beijing, China
Shenzhen and Beijing, China – February 28, 2008 – SiGe Semiconductor, a leading global supplier of radio frequency (RF) solutions for wireless systems, will be working with WPG Holdings to showcase its multimedia enabling expertise at IIC, 2008. SiGe will be located at booth 2C01 in Shenzhen and booth E21 in Beijing.
SiGe provides the industry's most comprehensive portfolio that includes patented technology that enables wireless data and navigation capability in laptop PCs, PDAs, handheld game machines, cell phones and personal video players. SiGe also delivers award winning products compliant to the Wi-Fi, WiMAX, Bluetooth and GPS standards to some of the leading names in consumer electronics.
SiGe addresses the technical challenges associated with this approach, including how to support WiMAX, Wi-Fi and GPS in portable devices while still meeting expectations for battery life, performance and price. In addition, providing all of the RF circuitry in a single, fully tested module simplifies design, reduces bill of materials for lower cost and board area, and speeds time-to-market.
“SiGe has a proven track record in delivering high-performance solutions to the consumer markets,” said Joe Li, Senior Director of Sales, Asia Pacific, at SiGe. “Convergence of different wireless capabilities into mobile devices for the future is driving demand for our product offerings in Greater China and the rest of Asia.”
