SiGe Semiconductor Awarded Technology Company of the Year by the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation

SiGe Semiconductor, Inc. today announced receipt of the “Technology Company of the Year” award from the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI) in recognition of its performance in delivering leading edge radio frequency (RF) solutions, outstanding year-on-year revenue growth of 45% and delivering sales of CD $100M in 2008. The OCRI awards celebrate excellence in the areas of: research, technology, entrepreneurship, leadership, partnership, and student accomplishment. Nominations for the nine categories were received from Ottawa’s business and education community last December. Over 60 nominations were reviewed by the Society of Collaborative Opportunities and Advancement of Professionals (SCOAP) which declared SiGe Semiconductor (SiGe) as the winner of OCRI’s “The Technology Company of the Year”.

Moreover, as a multinational company, SiGe’s Ottawa facility plays a key role in product and technology development.
